Blooms Day, Glasthule
Bloomsday celebrations in Glasthule, Dun Laogharie, on Tuesday June 16th, 2015.
Bloomsday, the annual global event celebrating the day in 1904 depicted in James Joyce's novel Ulysses.
The epic story follows Leopold Bloom as he goes about his day in Dublin. That day was Joyce's first date with his future wife, Nora Barnacle.

1916 - Step Into History - 6th April 2015

RTÉ Road to the Rising explores Ireland in the run up to the Revolution, as well as the ideas, people and the socio-economic forces which would shape the events of Easter Week 1916.
Experience Irish life, through my captures, as it was 100 years ago as O’Connell Street becomes an Edwardian thoroughfare, evoking the atmosphere of the capital in 1915.
Experience Japan 2015
EJ, the Experience Japan Hanami Festival Day was held in Farmleigh house in Ireland to celebrate Japanese culture on Sunday 12th April.
Hanami, the cherry blossom festival, takes place every year in Japan and it welcomes spring.
A varied line-up of activities included taiko drum performances, Japanese and Irish fusions of music and dance, martial arts, origami creation, cosplay with traditional kimonos, information desks on textile dyeing, Japanese food stalls and seminars on Japanese culture were on display.
